A Scary Day for Web Developers…Safari 3.0 for PC
Apple claims that “the world’s best browser” is now on the PC! The public beta release of Safari 3 is now available, for the first time ever, on our PCs. I think it is about time that Apple stepped up and released a browser across a different platform - good for them.
Safari 3.0 Highlights
Pages load up to 2 times faster than IE7.0 and 1.6 times faster than Firefox 2.0.
Safari’s capability to execute JavaScript is up to 2.8 times faster than IE7.0 and up to 1.6 times faster than Firefox 2.0.
Clean and sleek interface allows you to focus on the web instead of your browser!
Easy to use bookmarking.
Pop-up blocking!! (essential)
Graphic search tool for content within web pages
Tabbed browsing! Of course, everyone is used to this by now. You can move your tabs around for better organization (which is something i wish firefox did). Also, take a tab and drag it to your desk top - a new window appears!
SnapBack is a button that allows you to get back to where you started searching, instead of clicking “back” a million times.
Built-in RSS (Really Simple Syndication). Great tool for those who love their news.
Resizable text fields - c’mon!! If a field is too small, simple click, drag and adjust the size.
Safari supports SSL versions 2 and 3 as well as the next generation of security, Transport Layer Secuirty (TLC). In a nutshell, the browser is quite secure.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ve been using Firefox 2.0 and that this was the best browser out there. But from your post it looks like Safari 3.0 does the job better.
