From the outskirts of Toronto, Canada I have been developing websites for the past 9 years (5 years professionally). During the past few years, my role in the web development community has been closely focused on web standards and accessibility. The importance of web standards is increasingly growing and creating much awareness for past and current web developers alike.

Technologies are quickly converging and we need to be current with the latest applications (tools) in the market and programming languages to create these rich and unique experiences.

I currently sit on the board for the Web Developer’s program in Ontario, Canada for the Ministry of Education. I contribute ideas and direction into the education system, specifically the web developer’s program. The goal is to give my knowledge on the current industry demands and help shape and mold the certificate (1-year), diploma (2-year) and advanced diploma (3-year) programs. The result of all our hard work will allow web developers to gain the same knowledge in any 3 of the programs across our province. Employers will be pleased about us streamlining this process and will be happy with the results!
